Additonal Info:
Guitar Hero III is no doubt one top of many gamers list this holiday season.
However, in the United States, where it is already available, people who ordered the game from Wal-Mart are reporting that the title comes with old guitars rather than new ones.
It is said that this problem is on all platforms including the PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360. Interesting revelation, but if you were previously deciding on purchasing Guitar Hero III from Wal-Mart, then it is probably smart to look elsewhere for insurance reasons.

Guitar Hero III is the third entry in an ever-popular music series by developer Red Octane. Some of the key songs for Guitar Hero III include Sabotage from the Beastie Boys, Rock & Roll all Nite from Kiss, and Barracuda from Heart. In Guitar Hero III, players will be able to experience a whole slew of new features such as a multiplayer action battle mode, boss battles, and authentic rock venues.
A vast online multiplayer experience will allow rockers from around the world to compete head to head against each other to see who has the better guitar skills. Finally new to the series are wireless guitar controllers that are available out of the box for each platform.
Guitar Hero III is currently available in North America with the European launch November 23d and Australia November 7th.

Who cares? I don't, Guitar Hero aint my type of game...and I'm not from America.
Any idea how much they'll cost.
wow..are their any difference between them?
Haha! serves Wal-mart right for doing those "sleazy tactics" that they do. I don't buy games from Wal-Mart.
Clarky=132: If you don't care why bother post something like these? seriously maybe you don't but other ppl does and no one cares if you are from America or not
aw man the guy i get games from works for walmart thats how i get my games i wonder if this is an issue in canada?
psn id: gingo... this is poor by wal marts standards they should know what guitars they should be selling for what game
This doesn't make any sense to me. Retailers like Wal-Mart and Best Buy do not assemble the bundles themselves, the pckages are shipped to them with the guitar, the game, and all the accessories in the box. Also, look at the box itself, it has the picture of the old Gibson SG on it. Wal-Mart doesn't print the boxes. If anything, I would blame this on Activision. Maybe they had a few old SG guitars that they wanted to get rid of, so they modified them, packed them with Guitar Hero 3, and shipped them to Wal-Mart (good choice because hard-core gamers don't shop there, usually kids with their parents), and they expected nobody to be able to tell the difference.
It may be some kind of deal Wally World worked out so it can have the "lowest prices". They probably payed less than other retailers and are making more profit. Did you see the PS2 Target bundle that has 2 guitar controllers? Yes, it's PS2. Yes, they are wired. It's still a pretty good deal. I'm having a hard time choosing between that and the PS3 bundle w/ 1 guitar. Both are $100. What do you guys think?
Now I feel even less bad when I rip them off. Serves that franchise right.
