Namco Bandai’s latest entry in its highly successful Soul Calibur series has shipped two million copies since its launch on July 29, the company announced today.
Available on PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360, Soul Calibur IV launched to both critical and commercial success, debuting at number one in the UK, as well as performing strongly in Japan and on Amazon.com.
The PS3 version of the popular fighter features Star Wars antagonist Darth Vader as a playable character, while its Xbox 360 iteration includes Jedi Master Yoda. Both versions also feature Vader’s secret apprentice as a playable fighter.

My friend purchased it and we spend most of our time in the create-a-fighter mode re-making street fighter characters (which look awesome by the way.) But yeah those are very good sales, I guess most of that can be attributed to it being a multiplatform release.
By the way Vader>Yoda

Faster than MGS4 becuase of it's PS3 and 360 simultaneous release.
I'd be more interested in SC4 sales figures between PS3 and 360 though.

@15
I would guess (and its only a guess) that it fixes or provides support for the current downloadable content.

Its far from "The Best Game Ever" but I consider it a must have for my collection. Previous Soul Calibur games had better single player game modes, but its still a very fun game and very nice to look at, you just have to ignore the horrible storyline (as you pretty much have to do with most fighting games).
