Ted Price, the President of Insomniac Games, has said that the company’s Resistance series could potentially work on a handheld console, pointing to the success of Killzone: Liberation on the PlayStation Portable.
When asked whether or not the series would work on a handheld machine, Price told MTV’s Multiplayer blog, “Sure. I think that’s possible.”
Price then elaborated on the possibilities of a portable version of Resistance, stating that it doesn’t necessarily have to work as a traditional First Person Shooter (FPS) game.
“I think Killzone demonstrated that it doesn’t have to be a first-person shooter. I think Killzone: Liberation was a fantastic game, but a very different game from the original. Anything is possible,” he explained.
Insomniac Games is currently developing the sequel to Resistance: Fall of Man, Resistance 2, due for release exclusively on PS3 later this year.

They should defo take Killzone: Liberations approach and make it a 3rd person shooter, looking from above.

Sorry but the 3rd person perspective looking from above on KZ liberations was pants.......dont do it. Maybe try more of a GTA approach for the PSP in terms of view and control

I would LOVE a Killzone Liberation-ish PSP game from the Resistance universe. Would be so awesome, especially since devs are getting really good at PSP optimization. They look like PS2 games now!
I like killzone for the psp but resistance I think would not be as hot as killzone you need that second stick on the controller to move I think.
Yeah man make it like KZL for PSP by far one of the best portable games ever made, the online play is crazy for a portable good stuff.
I hope they get the controls right.
Devs could do an FPS on the PSP. Use the analog for walking and the L/R buttons for turning. Why do they have to complicate all of this?
I might get a PSP for that game. I just wish PSP2 would come out.

Maybe on PSPii, if it had 2 analog sticks, but I don't think any FPS really works on a console with only one.
