Capcom has revealed that action horror sequel Resident Evil 5 has eclipsed the four million sales mark worldwide.
Released on March 13, Resident Evil 5 stars veteran zombie slayer Chris Redfield and newcomer Sheva Alomar in an all-out African horror fest as the pair attempts to subvert the evil doings of the super villian Albert Wesker and company. We were rather impressed with the game, as you can see from our review here.
Meanwhile, the publisher also confirmed that critically acclaimed brawler Street Fighter IV has sold an impressive two million sales globally following its launch in February 2009. Be sure to pop over to our review to see what we thought.

Pretty obvious since its multiplat I think it would have sold alot less if it was exclusive to the PS3 (I can't believe I just said that).

I hate how everyone compares Resident Evil to Dead Space. They are two completely different games in it's own. Sure, it's the same genre, but that's where it stops. RE5 is much more realistic then DS when it comes to shooting, and reactions and such, and the storyline was great in RE5. People who haven't followed the Resident Evil series, obviously think DS has a better storyline. You have to understand the timeline in Resident Evil. It's the saying the same for MGS4, you must know the storyline.
Resident Evil 5 was one epic game for this year, it deserved it's 4 million copies sold.

Yep Resident evil 5 rocks and it is way better than dead space. To be able to play with my brother through the story mode whilst he is in london is so cool. Co-op with sheva is an excellent idea and as i love zombie games this is the best. i was in doubt after playing the demo but after buying the game, I found the controls easy and the game varied and exciting, especially when ordering my brother around or saving his behind. People who have not got this game should get it now. Sales speak for itself people, so GET IT!!!!

I liked RE5 more then deadspace. I can see why it topped 4 million, it was a really good game. Deadspace was good and all but it was missing some things, I didn't really enjoy it as much as RE5. The only thing RE5 missed was more puzzles and better puzzles, otherwise the game kicked complete ***.
