New David Jaffe title out no later than 2010The PlayStation Portable has received its most recent firmware update, version 3.72, which is now available to download.
This update has added support for more PlayStation Network titles, but the biggest feature that has been added is the ability to remotely start your PlayStation 3.
To start your PS3 using a PSP, the console must have firmware version 2.00, which is not yet been released, but considering this feature has just been added to the handheld, it shouldn't be long.
Firmware 2.00 for the PS3 is somewhat of a mystery at this point, with this remote start being the only confirmed feature.

Did someone say firmware 2.00? That will get all the firmware-fanboys starting the ranting about what it's got and how amazing it will be again.
Apparently firmware 2.00 is so good it won't only allow in-game XMB, it'll cure cancer too! (*That was meant to be irony*)

I was at the PSP update site, and I didnt see anything about Remote turn on for PS3 and how the PS3 needs firmware 2.00 in order for that to work. Can anyone else confirm this?

Not a bad update for the ol' PSP.
When I updated my PSP all it said was that it added more support for PSN games, it didn't say anything about the remotely starting your PS3 feature.

This sounds like more speculation then fact. Ill wait for official confirmation that a new firmware is coming to the PS3 anytime soon.
THIS IS FOR REAL.... trust me..... i just updated 3 PSp's.... all said(during the install section) that in order to use the remote "on" function(feature)... the PS3 needs to be updated to FW 2.0 or higher..... then it gave some web site to get more info.... (srry, im out of PSp's to update, so i'll have to find the link somewhere else, my bad)...
