New David Jaffe title out no later than 2010Before the PlayStation 3 was released to the world market, it was advertised as more than just a videogame console. Ranging from a number of multiple media features such as Blu-ray compatibility, the PlayStation 3 is ostensibly an entertainment device, as opposed to just a mere videogame console.
With that concept in mind, Sony believes that the general industry should also view the PS3 in the same form. Indeed, the company should be satisfied as the PS3 is starting to do just that.
Recently, at the T3 Gadget Awards, the PlayStation 3 grabbed the “Gadget of the Year” award. The Xbox 360 however took the “Best Gaming Gadget award, but this is welcoming for the PS3 and it’s fans as it is beginning to show that you can really get more bang from your buck with the console by experiencing fun and enjoyment far beyond a simple videogame.
With an impressive line-up coming in 2008, we conjecture that it is a possibility the machine could potentially scoop up both awards in due course.

Nice, can't wait till next year when it scoops up both awards.. I can understand 100% how the 360 got it this year though. The PS3 had just started out and only had a few games out for the first half of this year. FCK I can't wait till next year.

I think this shows how ps3 will win the counsole wars. Before when xbox released it was a better system, but had no games. Ps2 was a worse system but had all the games. Now ps3 is the better system and will have the games as well meaning ultimate domination in the future.

It is really too bad that the CrapBox got the video game award though. The thing that will be making Sony more money off the PS3 is the games, so if people aren't buying it for games, it really isn't a good thing. I love mine, and can't wait to see GT5 and MGS4 and a bunch of other greats coming out, and I hope that others see that too. With society being so media, mostly tv, driven, I think it's hard to really convince the general public how amazing the machine is when there are sooooo many PS3 poo-pooers on the air bashing it. In my opinion, and I'm sure many others on here would agree, that M$ and it's piece of cr@p have gotten where it is because of the very deep pockets ok Billy Boy and the Wii is really nothing more than a fad. Congratulations on this award Sony, and keep it up and be nothing but inovative in the future.
