Sony releases The Last Guy gameplay footage
Yoshida says PSN is "perfect learning opportunity" for devsTime for another Wardevil update. The people over at the Digi-Guys were kind enough again to supply PSU.com with not only 1080p versions of the latest screenshots, but a first look at their upcoming 2008 trailer.
For those of you who don't know already, Wardevil is a PS3 exclusive set to hit sometime near the end of 2008 (or possibly early 2009). The game will feature an all new game engine called RTE1080 which allows for 60fps animations at a 1080p resolution. As you may have seen in our last screenshot update, the game also features high resolution textures.
Some details the developers have told us:
- They are not finished with the game yet, still adding improvements both gameplay-wise and graphically
- They are making good use of the SPU's and streaming off of the Blu-ray disc
- Their goal is to get the Blu-ray film & game to look as identical as possible so there is no transition between the game and cinematics

about time we had some new info on this one. :)
It's been a LONG while since I've seen anything in regards to Wardevil on PSU.
I'm definantly looking forward to Wardevil and I think that it could really give God of War 3 a run for it's money. I'm really looking forward to seeing the trailer for this game and I can't wait until this game is shown at E3 and it blows everyone away.
PS3 is the Power.
I could see that the graphics were much better in 1080p obviously. Can't wait to hear more about this game and hopefully KZ2.

Yeah man 08 could be huge too. Lemme see... God of War 3, GT5, TWO Final Fantasy Games, Wardevil and maybe Uncharted 2? What else?
im not into these games, but i admit it looks pretty crazy, jus bought gt prolouge....and i jus wanted to say that the graphics and the physics blew me away....biiiiiig improvement.. it steps on forza motorsport2 .HARD! realist driving game ever made..o yea STICKEMUP dont forget about mgs4 mgs online, haze, motor storm2 cmon thats just off the top of my head ect ect ect.....ect little big plant...ect...home....ect
dont care what any 1 says despite all thoes cool games....im buying afrika without a doubt...hey dont forget about my favorite classic tekken..#6..plus i dont no if its an exclusive or not but that street fighter llooks good andso does imfamous : ) the list goes on
I haven't heard much about this game, but the screenshots are brilliant. Looking forward to seeing the Trailer. Hopefully, actuall gameplay.
I rather see this out in 2009! So that they have time to perfect, and we have time to save up some $$$ for it! ;)
There will already ALOT of hot titles coming from this month 'til the end of the year! Our wallets/credit cards will already be exhausted and very slim!! :)
I've been looking forward to this game since it was announced.
I do hate to see devs giving us false hope. We've all heard those promises before. I hope they really mean streaming and not have to install more game data.

The screens don't look outstanding, as some people might say. They look more on the levels of extra good.
