Rockstar Games has revealed that the fourth Midnight Club title will be released on PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 in early 2008.

Midnight Club: Los Angeles will be developed by Rockstar San Diego, who also worked on the first three titles in the series. The fourth instalment will "re-define the idea of a completely immersive racing game experience, both offline and online," according to Rockstar's Executive Producer, Sam Houser.

This may be the first game in the series that focuses on one, detailed environment rather than spanning across two or three cities.

"Our goal is to evolve on all possible levels and stay true to the hardcore gaming experience the series is known for, while making it accessible to casual gamers and car enthusiasts," added producer Jay Panek.
