Sony Computer Entertainment Japan (SCEJ) has announced that Media Molecule’s highly anticipated PS3 outing LittleBigPlanet will be released on October 30, 2008.
While this nails down a solid release date for the title in Japan, the company has yet to announce when we can expect the game to be released in western territories.
Various sources have claimed that the game will be released in North America and Europe that same month, though nothing has been officially confirmed as of yet.
One of the most intriguing PS3 releases on the horizon, LittleBigPlanet allows users to construct their own personal space by utilizing a variety of characters to shape and manipulate the world around them to their liking. Players can go about this on an individual, cooperative or competitive basis.

I would have expected a company from the UK would release LBP in Europe 1st. What gives?
Either way , it is going to be a great game and in time for Christmas Family fun.
I can see Christmas sales of this game sky-rocket, not to mention a PS3/ LBP bundle at this time really moving some consoles.
I honestly cannot see a better time to release this game, than a month or two before the holiday season.

...and it begins. I'm excited for everyone who wants this game, though I don't. It looks like it's going to be a blast for all who are into it! I tried making user-generated levels for that one PSP Mega Man game, and it was a little too tedious for me to have fun with. If I got LBP, I would just mooch levels from everyone else, lol.

Japan gets lots of stuff first guys, even the system itself! and if that holds true here, LBP will be released on HALLOWEEN!
Hopefully that U.S and EU will get this game witihin a week before the Japans release date, getting this game on day 1.

its to many of PS3 exclusive coming out in a months time frame. its a new exclusive every week or two weeks. you got SOCOM early Oct. LBP, then R2, then MS2:P

i personally think this game will be released in all territories at the same date. Its made by a british company so if japan is getting it october then there is no reason why U.S and Europe shouldnt get it on that date either PSN: Marauder_Ghost
