We learned today that PlayStation Home is getting more than 100 new pieces of content this Thursday, making it the biggest virtual item content release since launch. Some of the biggest additions include the new Killzone 2 Visari Throne Room, a Post-Apocalyptic Apartment, and animated T-shirts that show-off your hometown.
The KZ2 Visari Throne Room is based on the final stage in the popular PlayStation 3 shooter. Releasing with the space are a variety of virtual items including the Helghan Defense Painting.
The new Post-Apocalyptic Apartment will launch with a bundle of furniture. There are roughly 70 items that will be released with this personal space alone.
Finally, one of the more intriguing updates is the addition of new animated T-shirts that broadcast your hometown pride. Look for these updates and more this Thursday for the PlayStation Home.

Eventually, when developers utilise Home to its full extent, it will become the driving factor for multi-platform owners deciding which console to buy 'X' game. Home will become the 'achievement point' advantage the 360 had during the PS3s early years

@6....spot on, these stupid updates are not attracting the masses. why not just release pool tables, chess, arcade machines (playable ones) and tv's etc for in our personal spaces? i would happily pay £4.99 for a pool table and im sure i speak for 99% of people that use home. anyone agree?

The article implies that you will get 70 items WITH THE PURCHASE of the Killzone 2 apartment. Could we please get clarification on that? I'm not interested in the apartment unless this proves to be true. I'll pay $4.99 for 70 furniture/decoration items for all of my current HOME spaces.

A amazing update. But I never use it. It usually takes up to much of my ps3 hard drive to where I barely have enough room for anything else. Its not exactly good when you have only a 40 GB and all of this equals about 10 GB.

I just want the basic stuff we were promised. I want to be able to watch movies with firends from my PS3 (online). I want a trophy room with physical representations for them to decorate my space with. (I get some may look generic if the game company doesn't take the intiative to make every one look unique). I want to be able to put my pictures on the walls of my home in frames, This was all hyped stuff before home was released.

"It only does everything" - I love that!
I go into Home every couple of months to see what's new, but nevery really find a reason to just hang out there. The one thing I am waiting on is when you can take the pics from your HDD and hang them on the wall in your apartment. Really take it to a personal level. By going into Home, I may want to escape from my family for a little bit, but I don't want to forget them while I'm there. I can hang that really goofy picture of my son over the sofa. Or even better, turn that picture into one big wallpaper covering the entire wall. COOL!!! Get crackin', Sony.

You can get those t shirts in real life :)
Also let me see now...
PS3 Slim... Firmware 3.0... Massive price cut... HUGE update in Home, So many good games just out and around the corner...
And people said that Sony didn't know what they were doing.
I am waiting for an Inglorious Basterds clip being "Basterdised" into some rant about Sony sandbagging all along and what are we meant to do to counter that????

I'm with post #38. I haven't lived at home with my parents for a long time. Why spend money to decorate walls, when I can spend money to decorate walls in real life? I still fail to see Home's appeal.
