Forget the Wii. Nintendo needs to get out of last-generation or leave the console battlefield.

The Wii is selling purly out of curiosity and price. Most people dont have just a Wii. They have a Wii and a next gen console. If Nintendo cared about the Japanese market and wanted a true domination, they would scrap there hardware ventures and join Sony. Design games for there console, and peripherals for the games they want to have special features.

Here is my thing. How can some people say that the PS3 dont have games. But yet the Wii pretty much dont have anything but a buncha mario games.

EA sucks... there i said it. Then we gotta worry about mr. anti-ps3 taking over there. EA blows man and most of them games haven't really been hot anyway.

Madden looks like s@#t. Still not that realistic. EA is just not a good company right now for nexgen.

Dislike for EA has nothing to do with who they support, bring all our games to the wii if you like! Eventually even the Wii owners will hate your guts too. The reason are tired of you is because you pump out sequel after sequel after sequel. there's like 15 madden games and hardly any of them are any different than the last with the exception of a roster change, how about you just give us a single madden and update it with downloadable content each year, it'd be cheaper for you and you can save money on the whips you use to keep your programers at the table for 30 hours a day. As for the Wii itself it's getting serious double standard treatment. For all it's supposed originality (HA!) it has not more games than the PS3 has right now on the shelf and half of them are better on PS2! the 6 games that they have that arnt multiplatform are only barely worth playing!

maybe there is something else to the WII that people don't know about,like a magic fountain or something.I don't own a WII nor do I plan too,but all I hear people say is that its a fad and it will fade away,but it hasn't even slowed down,that's not a fad.Chia pets were a fad Gigapets were a fad...I think the WII is something in it's own league

I wonder what transition from last gen to next gen EA is REALLY talking about? The Wii and 360 are actually last gen consoles and EA supports both systems so they never have left last gen. A few games on the PS3 doesn't count as a transition. Only if EA dropped support for the Wii and 360 would they have really made a transition from last gen to next gen.

check their game sales. people buy the wii but then they find there's only a handful of decent games to buy. they're pushing RE4, and we've got RE5 coming. besides i don't trust white consoles. black is beautiful.

Even though Im a hard core Burnout Fan.. I can stand EA sometimes.. Their the typical Coorporate America Company.. Money, money and more $$$$.. They dont care who they $hit on as long as their getting that $$$$.. Take for instance with Madden 08 and the 30 fps thing.. Why didnt EA skip Madden 07 for the PS3 and concentrate on the new platform and makeing the 60 fps avail.. Cause its not like its possible.. But Nooooooo.. God forbid they miss out on a chance to get their $$$ on Madden 07 for the PS3 even though you put out the same damn rehashed game on 50 other platforms.. I swear that one of these days these publishing companies are going to learn their lesson... I just hope I live to see that day...

I agree with the whole EA not bring much new to the table in the lines of sports games. I was excited when i first got my ps3 becasue i thought of the possiblities that the ps3 held and what the game could be like. Then I saw the screen shots of it and was like WTF?! These are hardly impressive at all! All in all EA needs to step it up because there is a large market for sport orriented games that they are sadly missin out on as of right now

The Wii is selling because it appeals to people who have never been interested in consoles before, i have a couple of mates that have never owned a console before, yet they rushed out to buy the Wii 1. cos it was cheap and 2. because it looked like fun. But the really interesting thing is that a couple of months down the line they are hardly getting used. Bit of a novelty thing going on here

Wii is only selling because its fun and doesnt cost much. Wii is going mainstream whereas PS3 is going for the niche hardcore market. REAL gamers play PS3 and dont care that its really expensive - PS3 pricing makes it more exclusive and as such only a few gamers will get to own it.

Ooop! I should correct my last post: REAL gamers play mega beefed up PC's but those who cant afford these beasts go for PS3 because its almost as good but cost less. But PS3 is hardcore by console standards - that is when developers actually write their code on it - otherwise its the same as XBox360. BUT the PS3 looks better and is more impressive to show your mates because hardly anyone has a PS3 and lots have those common XBox360's and Wii's so its kind of a novelty - but I mean not a "novelty" like Wii, as thats much more of a "Fun" novelty whereas PS3 is more of the unique rare kind a novelty kind a thing - right?

I'm so fed up of hearing bout the damm wii, its crap end of, and if it wasnt for playstation the games industry wouldn't be were it is today, the wii is takin the games industry into a place us true gamers do NOT want it to go, all casual and crapy mini games.

I agree - Toys are fine. I mean my PC has 2 x 750GB hard drives and a SLI graphics solution with 3 times the memory as in the PS3. So sure the PS3 in comparison is like a toy but its still fun for my little brother to play with as he doesnt have the money that I do.

My sister who's studying medicine on the otherhand invites her freinds around with their boy freinds and they all play with the Wii whilst my brother sits in his room and plays with his PS3. Its his best freind since the acne really broke out and he put on all that weight.
