Home Closed Beta coming to Asia in SeptemberEA Sports, the creators behind some of the industry’s most prolific sports franchises, such as Madden, Tiger Woods Golf, and NBA Live, announced today that they are looking to expand their repertoire into 3 new distinct IPs.
Tom Sitrin, Vice President at EA Sports has confirmed that the company is indeed working on 3 new sports IPs, something that the firm has not done for some time.
"We actually have 3 new original IPs in development, the only one that's been announced is Facebreaker, we haven't done an original IP at EA for several years, not since back to Freekstyle Motorcycle," commented Sitrin.

I know they mentioned a possible MMA title that will involve Elite XC, HDNet Fights, and the IFL. Sounds interesting since THQ currently has the UFC license.
Hopefully one of the IPs is an SSX/Snowboarding game for the PS3

why ruin fight night? i know that the branch that made it closed but surely another place could of picked it up insted of making facebreaker,,it looks terriable!! i just dont understand why mae a boxing game other than fight night, they were the only good boxing game on the market, i can only hope that its only the cartoon graphics on face breaker is bad and the punch system is good.
yea its pretty gay that ea has put any new fight night games on hold. I could understand if they didnt sell but fight night round 3 was a greatest hit. Only the best selling games make greatest hits!!!!! I wont buy facebreaker and i really hope that one of the 3 new games is fight night.. dont bring out another crap new type of game thats not gonna sell like EA Sports Rugby 09! Give me a new fight night.. or at least a Pride Fighting game.. and not like the SH!TTY one from the ps2. lol

psn id: gingo.... EA and new IPs dont usually go in the same sentence but i'm actually glad they are trying something new instead of just making sequel after sequel.... still probably wont buy any of their games though until they start showing some competence
and let me guess, they will all have major problems on the PS3 version while our 360 cousin's will laugh at us. And heck, even the Wii people will be laughing...

Well let's hope the other games are interesting because I find facebreaker unappealing, well that's just me.
