New David Jaffe title out no later than 2010The DualShock 3 has finally been given a release date for its North American followers of the Sony brand. The controller is set to release at the steep price of $54.99 USD on April 15. The release of the controller will be side-by-side with Gran Turismo 5 Prologue.
Obviously this is a date that many PlayStation 3 owners have been waiting for. The days of having to import the rumble packed controller are slowly dwindlng. No announcement has been made in regards to if the ceramic white version will be made available in North America, but we'll do what we can to find out. Stay tuned with us for more information.

Well, it's only 5 dollars more than the standard SIXAXIS so I don't think it's that big of a deal. I'm sure that once the SIXAXIS is phased out, the price for the Dualshock 3 will come down.

Awesome! I was thinking about importing one, but I decided I wanted to get one from ColorwarePC. The only thing I could do was wait till it arrived here. Its really good news that its coming now though.
Honestly its cool but I could careless about rumble. I have two controllers and I'm happy with them so I don't really need another one even if it has rumble.

A small reason why my friend is waiting to get a PS3 is because he's waiting for the ShockAxis control to come included. Does anyone know if it is going to? I told him I doubt it will until the standard becomes the ShockAxis.
Good news for the ones who don't have it already....luckily enough my co-worker went to Japan in January, and I bought 4 of them for $45 USD a piece. I kept a white one for myself and sold the rest for $80 each. Oh how sweet it is....

I think rumble is cool, but not necessary. I already have two controllers so I think I'll just be playing with them for a while.
Well its going to be a good while before I am getting this, gotta save up for them games first.

Weird how the controllers took so long to get here since all controllers are region free. At least I can get a black version now. Good thing I didn't buy any extra Sixaxis controllers.

Was holding off on buying another controller until this came out. Good news. Now I can finally utilize that second little controller stand. And usually, peripherals don't come down in price unless they're being phased out, so don't anyone hold their breath. You still can't find a new DS2 under $25 retail.
I thought I would really miss the lack of rumble but to honest I hardly/never notice its not there. I wont be splashing out cash for a pad when I can buy a game!
I think Europe will be getting it at the same time. And i hope that due to the extra demand the dual shock motors will put on the battery Sony have upgraded that too. Im sure i will be getting 2 so that when mates come round we can have 4 player split screen battles yey
