Capcom has today announced that the next instalment in the company’s highly successful Devil May Cry series, Devil May Cry 4, will ship to retail for PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 in February 2008.
The PC version, meanwhile, is expected to follow “at a later date”, the company added. A specific date in February for console versions has yet to be announced.
Set between the events of the original Devil May Cry and its sequel, Devil May Cry 4 pits players in the shoes of Nero - a dexterous, highly accomplished swordsman and gunslinger.
Clashing with series protagonist Dante in the middle of a demonic invasion of the city of Fortuna, players must guide Nero on a quest for the truth as they make use of his deadly Devil Bringer arm, which gamers can utilize to string together a slew of devastating attack combos.

Ok...great! What about SF4? People have already made up their minds about this title (whether that be getting it or not)...SF4 news is what I want to hear from Crapcom =)
DMC 4 looks so awesome. I can't wait. Has anyone noticed a trend, though? DMC4 got delayed for PS3 due to 360 development issues, but anytime there is PS3 development issues, they release the 360 one anyways. Kinda fishy, huh? Sounds like MS has been throwing money at people again

Well alot of PS2 supporters switched over to the 360 when it was released and never got a PS3. Those are the gamers MS wants to market to, not the Xbox loyalists. ANyway, I just read this news over at xbox.com and I hope that Sony really do push the marketing of this game on their system, because MS is already acting like they own the exclusive rights to the game! This is PLAYSTATION'S game, d@amnitt!!!

ny_young i totally agree with you, ive been saying that to all my friends,why would capcom start the whole franchise on ps2 and then make it multi-plat for ps3 and xbox360 and most of the xbox fans r not even going to get the whole story of itthas like bringing the pgr series to the ps3.

To tegesh: MGS 2 didn't even fail at all, it was sold a lot of copies. Because if u dont play MGS 2 u will never know what is going on, While DMC can be skip, cause storyline ain't really that good and important

ok now all capcom has to do is drop the 360 version and maximize the games potential on the ps3. I know why it got delayed, they were needing more time for the 360.

I really like Devil May Cry - I have them all including Dante's awakening Special Edition. I'm curious about playing this on PC with a PS2 controller hack. I just purchased a new LCD display for my PC and are playing Bioshock and the Hallgate London Beta - Both are Amazing!!!.... I think DMC 4 and Crysis are my next acquisitions.
Another game I've just discovered is Trackmania United - anyone else playing this?
