BioShock 2 single player trailer

2K Games has unveiled a brand new trailer for its upcoming shooter BioShock 2, focusing on the hotly anticipated sequel’s single player campaign.

Check out the footage below, courtesy of the chaps at CVG.

BioShock 2 takes place a decade after the events of the original game, with players assuming command of one of Rapture’s lumbering Big Daddy behemoths as they attempt to track down a mysterious creature that has been spotted kidnapping young girls along the Atlantic coastline.

In addition to a gripping single player experience, BioShock 2 also boasts a stellar multiplayer component, which takes place during the fall of Rapture and acts as a prequel to the franchise.

BioShock 2 is due out on PlayStation 3, PC and Xbox 360 worldwide on February 9, 2010.

    i hate this game even the demo was to bl0.0dy painful n dreadful to complete, which i didn't btw happy thanks giving everyone

    I'm looking forward to the game, as I loved the first... but I've realised I loved the first because of the atmosphere, characters and story... so the trailer of nothing but action didn't really appease me.

    @ 2 i totally agree! i bought Bioshock long after its release on PS3. After all the hype i heard surrounding its release on the 360, then its success on PS3, i was expecting something really special. Sadly, when i took Bioshock out of my console for the first time, i never put it back in. I got a few levels in but never felt like going back to rapture. Such a shame cos this trailer looks amazing, but im concerned it will be a similar experience.

    When you think about it, Survivor mode sounds like it'll be no harder than normal, with a double barrled shot gun, a rivet gun, and dude, a ****ing minigun.

    Got the first one when there was a $39.99 sale, this one.. I'll wait for $19.99-$29.99. I still haven't beat the first one. :/

    I enjoyed the first one, but didnt really like playing as the big daddy towards the end.  I will  probably still get this, but by Feb 9th I will be just too hyper for GOW3
