Battlefield: Bad Company 2 beta coming soon exclusively to PS3

PlayStation 3 owners will soon get a chance to beta test multiplayer for the upcoming Battlefield: Bad Company 2, Dice officially announced today. The beta will launch on November 19 for the PS3, and will feature the Arica Harbor map, where up to 24 players can compete in one of the game’s four intense multiplayer modes called Rush.
You’ll get a full load of vehicle and infantry combat, as the American assault unit attacks the Russian army base in an attempt to overtake the Arica Harbor. The beta test will feature heavy vehicle warfare, which grows to intense infantry fights.
“This is an outstanding opportunity for PlayStation gamers to get early access to one of the most action-packed and polished shooters in the marketplace with Battlefield: Bad Company 2,” says Rob Dyer, SVP, Publisher Relations, SCEA. “We’re happy to help DICE achieve their superior level of multiplayer excellence in the game.”
PS3 owners get the first run at beta, followed by PC open beta starting in December. Early next year, a demo will be available on PS3, PC, and the Xbox 360. The game is scheduled for release on March 2, 2010 in North America and March 5, 2010 in Europe.

Wow, exclusively? That is a bit surprising. Looking forward to the Beta, as I was dissapointed with the previous Bad Company game, to be honest.

At least DICE are fair :) last game beta was only for 360 so exclusive for PS3 was a nice choice for bad company 2

Please o please fix the problem with shooting a guy with a full clip to kill him. If thats fixed this game will never leave my ps3.

awesome audio
one of the best graphics
beatiful gameplay which looks smooth. how can people not like this. oh, yh i know
there too busy paying COD to give any other FPS a shot even though tis better ;P

modern warfare kills BFBC. i played Bad company 1 n i was like wtf is this sh!.t. mw has better controls n feel this bad company games just feel sh!.t to play.
STOP BLASTING COD4 BECAUSE U SUCK ONLINE.

@26 - maybe if the campaign in mw4/2 were longer than 6 hours, and didn't focus so heavily on MP, then we'd have more kudos for it. Until it gets its act together in that area, then BFBC will be more the experience a lot of players seek. HeII, your last line pretty much sums up the underlying reason why some people are willing to get behind EA/DICE instead of Act/IW.
What I can't believe is that I'm actually going to bat for EA here. I guess I'm tired of hating on them so much since Activision/Kotick is really starting to make some poor decisions and comments lately. Namely; their "threat" to stop supporting the PS3.

bfbc has excellent online play, its not nearly as flawed as cod4, no wrecked leaderboards, no ufo's, no host ended game, good TEAMWORK based games, huge maps, very well balanced vehicles, no 'fixed' games, cpu advantage and so on. and if it takes anyone more than a clip to kill someone....well thats call of duty's fault. The controls are fine. the class system is well balanced and gives extra playability. blowing holes in walls isn't a gimic its tactical. cod4 online is fun, but with all the glitches it can be just as frustrarting. thats why games like bf:bc and killzone 2 will win in the long run. but theres nothing like playing aginst COMPLETE IDIOTS on cod4 when your drunk....but thats about it though

Battlefield series is at the top of the mountain for online play. It's underrated in my opinion because it provides a well-rounded experience of military combat. Everything is detailed and balanced. The destructibility engine and vehicles put BFBC above the rest (COD)... can't wait to get a hold of this beta because it looks like a game that will surpass even my personally high expectations. PS3 rules....

This guy always leaves shallow comments and remarks, obviously he's a Call of Dooty whore, I've been playing Battlefield games since 1942 on the PC and each new installment has blown me away, except for Bad Company, I never really got into it's multiplayer, it seemed too different with Goldrush being the only available mode at the time. Now that it has Conquest, it's like a whole new game. I'll be picking up MW2 but to be honest, I'm more excited about Bad Company 2.
Call of Duty is becoming the new Halo, a lot of pre-pubescent kids screaming racial insults over the mic. Do your ears a favor and buy Bad Company 2 when it releases, kiddies.
