Activision has unpacked its release schedule for its upcoming Guitar Hero: World Tour downloadable content for the Christmas and New Year period.

First up is “Use Me" by Hinder, "Because of You" by Nickelback and "Light it Up" by Rev Theory, which punters will be able to download from today.

January 8 will see the launch of the Country Rock Track Pack, which features "Me and My Gang" by Rascal Flatts, "Ticks" by Brad Paisley and "Hillbilly Deluxe" by Brooks & Dunns.

Meanwhile, Travis Barker – who has already received a digitalized makeover in the game – appears on January 15 with "What's My Age Again", "Lycanthrope" and "Low".

The following week pays tribute to some Aussie goodness, with "Tomorrow" by Silverchair, "Dimension" by Wolfmother and "Outtathaway!" by The Vines.

Wrapping things up on January 29 will be Oasis’ full album Dig Our Your Soul, which throws in tracks "The Turning", "I'm Outta Time", "(Get Off Your) High Horse Lady", "Falling Down", "To Be Where There's Life", "Ain't Got Nothin", "The Nature of Reality" and "Soldier On."

PlayStation Network users in North America will be able to download the album for USD 18.99, while Xbox 360 LIVE Arcade users will have to fork out 1520 Microsoft points.

The Aforementioned track packs will set you back USD 5.49, with individual tracks priced USD 1.99 apiece. European pricing details have yet to be announced.

@2 Country songs arent that bad, im not a big fan but at least it is something different than the same ol' Rock feel.  Its also fun to joke around with friends and sing in an exaggerated country accent.

Business as usual, mediocre songs mixed with one or two fairly good ones, for money only.

Despite that, who buys a whole album that one can't even burn for the stereo or the car or at least listen to on the PS3? Beats me.
